Adult Protective Services (APS) is an agency given authority by the Montana
legislature to investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of
individuals over 60 years of age or developmentally disabled.

neglect. We provide consistent, long-term advocacy until every child resides in
a safe, permanent home.

adoption services for special needs children; licenser and training for foster care
and adoptive homes; provides registration for day care family and group homes;
licenser for day centers; directs investigations and accountability for compliance
